The ambience in the room was bound for the turning
An unwelcomed woman walking towards Jesus as He is reclining.
A sinner, unashamedly presenting before revered and noble men.
The allure of her costly oil announcing her fretful defence.
In quiet confidence she presses on to mourn and anoint the King for His burial
Washing His feet with her tears and wiping them with her hair,
She pours out her weighty worship on Heaven's Mighty Royal.
Who He is; what He accomplished; Our Lord and Saviour magnified in
spectacular remembrance.
Angry protesters, indignant accusers, cynical naysayers couldn't touch this
worthy reverence.
Then Jesus spoke;
'Why do you trouble this woman? For she has done a good thing for me'
Assuredly as the gospel is proclaimed, all will honour her beautiful deed.'
Her Oil of Worship, anticipating His death, burial and Resurrection to come.
A glorious testimony of God's love and redemptive plan
fulfilled through the perfect gift of Jesus Christ, His Begotten Son.
