Holy is the light that shines on Bethlehem
This night, a unique night, where everyone converges
Upon this little town where the Lamb is sent
To make peace and reconcile God with His world.
Holy is the light that shines upon the Lamb
Lying newly born, in safety out of danger.
The Lamb who takes away the sins of the world
Laid in a manger, surrounded by shepherds and strangers.
Holy is the light that shines upon you
This Lamb is your substitute!
There is now no excuse to resist being rescued!
The Lamb is God's costly present given to you.
Holy is the light that shines this first Christmas night
Which shines for everyone, everywhere, evermore.
The light of the Lamb that holds His promise of salvation
Eternally, an open invitation from the dawn of creation.
